Bapp means 'blue gum tree.' His bettong mum named him this because blue gums have thick trunks, and he has thick thighs for hopping (and kicking)!

Barwon means 'magpie.' The other bettongs call him this because magpies are noisy and so are his great big farts! Magpies dive bomb and he fart bombs!
